Compassionate, Cageless Boarding for Your Pets

At Hewlett Animal Hospital & Pet Resort, we treat your pet as our guests so you’ll never feel guilty when you have to be away.

Your pet will get his or her own room with a variety of creature comforts to make him/her happy during their stay with us.


Our services, staff, and activities will keep your pet amused. From snack time, frequent walks, and viewings of the latest critter-themed movie to nightly entertainment provided by Marley, the parrot, your cuddly companion may even thank you for leaving town!


Don't worry about bringing bowls and leashes because we supply them all for your convenience.

Boarding and Deposit Requirements


Our boarding requirements include:


  • All pet guests will be sent home smelling fresh and squeaky clean
  • Upon leaving, your pet will be bathed, ears cleaned, and nails trimmed 
  • Cost determined by the size of the pet and length/condition of fur
  • Deposit required with two-night stay or more for new clients


Upon scheduling deluxe boarding, we require a one-night, non-refundable deposit. If your plans should change, your deposit will be good forever. It can be used toward future boarding, baths, vaccines, and any other services we provide.

Our Daily Delux Boarding Prices

  • Dogs: up to 35 pounds, $55
  • Dogs: 36-50 pounds, $60
  • Dogs: 51-75 pounds, $65
  • Dogs: 76-90 pounds, $70
  • Dogs: 91 pounds and up: $80+ (depending on size)
  • Cats (cageless): $55 plus $10 for disposable kitty litter pan

With our butler service, pay $20 a night more and give your pet the life of luxury in one of our suites! Your pet will feel right at home with individualized attention from an attendant and technician. He/she will spend the day in the resort and the evening with dinner, TV, and a movie in their own private space.

Vaccination Requirements

For the safety of all our guests, your pet must be current with their vaccinations. In case your pet is not current, our veterinarian, Dr. Martin Zipkin from our full-service veterinary hospital, will be more than happy to update your pet’s vaccination upon arrival.


To ensure a flea-free environment, upon arrival, your pet will receive a Comfortis tablet (a safe and effective oral medication) that eliminates adult fleas on a pet within 30 minutes of ingestion). There is a nominal one-time fee of $10.

If your pet has been examined by Dr. Z. at Hewlett Animal Hospital and has had all required boosters, and a fecal exam administered by us, or is coming due, your fee for our Deluxe Boarding will be the fair fee on our website. If you are not a current client, there will be a 5% boarding surcharge for your pets’ stay.

Cancellation Policy

Please be advised that deposits are non-refundable but are applicable toward any future service.

“I keep my dog at Hewlett Animal Hospital for cageless boarding and would never keep him anywhere else. Where most pet hotels allow your dog to run in a large room for eight hours per day and then cage the dog at night, Hewlett Animal Hospital & Pet Resort is completely cageless. They provide a tailored experience for each animal. I know my dog, a smooth-face French bulldog, cannot run around for eight hours due to risk of exhaustion. Also, at the end of the doggy day, my dog will get an enclosed space which looks like a room with a couch, blanket, toys, and lots of attention. If you are a dog owner who wants his dog to be cared for based on its particular needs and breed type (rather than a one-size-fits-all), this is the place for you. Plus, my dog is not a caged dog. To all of a sudden cage a dog who isn’t used to it would cause stress. I wouldn't keep my dog anywhere else. They are the best.”
